UAD Inaugurates Asmapada Board
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Yogyakarta inaugurated the board of UAD Graduate Student Association (Aspada) for the period of 2018-2019 in the auditorium of campus 3 on Monday (21/5/2018). Present in the event were Vice Rector III, Dr. Abdul Fadlil, M.T., accompanied by Deputy Director of Graduate Program, Dr. Ir. Dwi Sulisworo, M.T., and Danang Sukantar, M. Hum., the Head of Student Affairs and an alumnus of Bimawa.
The inauguration and working meeting was entitled "Working for Advanced Post-Graduate Programs". Asmapada is expected to play a role in advancing UAD postgraduate programs.
Abdul Fadlil, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs said that Asmapada should increase the number of positive activities. The existing programs should collaborate with the existing postgraduate programs. There had to be synergy with other organizations or institutions.
In addition, he stressed the importance of regeneration. "Regeneration needs to be done. The inauguration is a proof that Asmapada regenerates well. We hope that all members take part in every activity and be trustworthy to contribute to UAD graduate programs. "
He also shared his wish for the birth of programs that promote innovation and creativity. It did not have to be a big activity, as long as it had a big impact. The developed program would be adapted from the accreditation form, in order to support the university accreditation process.
On the other hand, Dwi Sulisworo conveyed that short-term organization of only one year required hard work. In relation to the national political situation, graduate students had to have the maturity of thinking to be an agent of change and an initiator.
"The students are expected to be a good example with their thoughts, so as to enlighten the community. The postgraduate program will always support the activities," he said.
On this occasion, Dwi Pamungkas was elected as the chairman of Aspada for the period of 2018-2019. Dwi is the third chairman of Asmapada. (ard)
