Bimawa Conducts Socialization on Simkatmawa Program

As an effort to improve the university performance, Bureau of Student and Alumni Affairs (Bimawa) of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) held socialization on Information System Program of Student Ranking Management or Simkatmawa in several study programs.

According to the Head of Bimawa, Dr. Dedi Pramono, M. Hum., Simkatmawa was a student ranking system that could be advantageous to both Public University (PTN) and Private University (PTS). “The purpose of Simkatmawa is to give information of the ranking of a university in terms of student achievement.”

With Simkatmawa, universities can find out in what position their student activities are. After finding out the ranking, the corresponding university may take actions on how to guide the students. Up to now, every student activity in UAD is expected to contribute and give good impact on the ranking of the university, especially for PTS.

To realize Simkatmawa, there needs to be support from the faculties. One of the faculties that has been visited and given socialization is the Faculty of Industrial Engineering (FTI).

“In the future, there needs to be a work program in every semester in every faculty, in the hope that every form of student activity will be more organized, in terms of administration, ranking, to decide on the quality of the corresponding university”, said Dedi. (doc)
