BSA UAD Held A General Stadium on Neology in Arabic
The Department of Arabic Letters Faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training University of Ahmad dahlan (BSA FTDI UAD) once again held a general stadium. This time Dr. Uki Sukiman, M.Ag. presented a material on neurology. The event took place at Main Hall Campus I at Kapas Street no 09, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta last Monday (13/06/2016)
The participants were the department’s 2nd to sixth students amounting 120 persons. The dean, the head of department, and lecturers were also present.
Uki, who is a lecturer at Arabic Letters, Faculty of Adab or Phylosophy, State University of Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta, presented ‘Neology in Arabic.’
The discussion included ‘phonological, morphological, syntactic, as well as semantic study on vocabulary and Indonesian borrowed words in magazine Alo Indonesia.’ The audience were enthusiastic in the matter so as many questions were addressed to the presenter. the event lasted from 08.30-11.00 local time.
