DEVELOPMENT ECONOMIC STUDY PROGRAM
The Development Economics study program exists to meet the challenges of the globalization by combining brain ware (experienced lecturers, both from Indonesian and foreign universities, as well as practitioners), hardware (modern lecture facilities at representative locations), software (renewable and applicative curriculum), and networking (good relationship with government agencies). Besides being equipped with knowledge, students are also equipped with Islamic knowledge to enhance their devotion in applying and developing knowledge. This study program was officially established in 1994. Graduates of the study program will have a Bachelor of Economics (S.E.) degree.

Mision
- To establish cooperation with various parties to realize UAD Development Economics Study Program with a global outlook
- To create human resources that are capable of implementing knowledge in the economic, regional and asset fields

To create professional Muslim scholars in the economic, regional and asset fields to make a real contribution to the development of the society

Development planners in government agencies (National Development Planning Agency, Regional Development Planning Agency), expert staff, researchers, stock exchange analysts, lecturers, economic observers, staff of Office of Public Appraisal Service Office, etc.
Competencies
Main Competences
1. Cognitive (Knowledge)
Having the ability to understand and apply knowledge about basic facts, concepts, principles and theories of economics that are related to solving problems regarding regional economics and assets, as well as communicating them properly and correctly
2. Psychomotor (Skills)
Having the ability to observe and measure macroeconomic indicators by operating economic analysis tools: the ability to plan, design, and conduct regional economic and asset research through problem recognition, analysis, to result evaluation (the ability in data selection with appropriate techniques and procedures)
3. Affective (Attitude)
Having the character and personality as an academician and social being who is ethical, upholds Islamic values and is able to face future challenges in a dynamic global environment
Supporting Competences
Having the ability to communicate orally and in writing using national and or international languages properly and correctly, having the skills in obtaining and utilizing information, both primary and secondary information. Graduates are also required to have the skills to process and present data, including using information technology-based multimedia, have the ability to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate, as well as continuously renew effective and efficient ways of working both individually and in groups
Specific Competences
Graduates are able to apply basic knowledge of regional and asset economics based on case studies.
Lecturers
The study program has 11 lecturers with master’s degree graduating from domestic and foreign universities. Two lecturers have graduated with doctoral degree, while two lecturers are currently pursuing their doctoral degree. Lecturers have a number of areas of expertise, such as monetary economics, international economics, micro- and macro-economics, Indonesian economy, development planning, regional economics, asset valuation and management, as well as natural resource and environmental economics.
Supporting facilities
The lecture activities are supported by a number of facilities, such as lecture rooms with LCD and audio-visual facilities, library, mosque, cooperative, canteen, parking space, sports field, polyclinic, pharmacy, student Islamic boarding school, and Wi Fi area. Also available are a laboratory and a stock exchange corner. The laboratory as a place for students to practice data processing and is equipped with 40 units of computers, air conditioners, and LCDs. In the stock exchange corner, students can conduct transactions in the capital market, as well as obtaining financial data for research.
