ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM
The Electrical Engineering Study Program was established in 1999. Its vision is to become a study program that excels in the science and applications of Electrical Engineering, especially industrial automation, telecommunications, computers and informatics based on Islamic values. Graduates will get a Bachelor of Engineering (S.T.) degree.
Vision
To become an internationally renowned study program that excels in the science and applications of electrical engineering, especially industrial automation and telematics, and is based on Islamic values
Mision
- To organize academic programs, research, and community service in the field of electrical engineering, especially industrial automation, telecommunications and computers and information technology that are standardized nationally and internationally
- To establish collaborations with academic parties, industry and government, both locally, nationally and internationally
- To implement Islamic ways of life in every academic and non-academic activity in the Electrical Engineering Study Program
Objectives
- To produce professional graduates with a noble character in the field of electrical engineering, especially industrial automation, telecommunications, computers and informatics, and are innovative so that they can be independent entrepreneurs and compete nationally and internationally
- To develop, utilize and disseminate science and technology in the field of electrical engineering especially industrial automation, telecommunications, computers and informatics so that the graduates will always be relevant to the development of Indonesia and the needs of the society
- To develop networks in the society and the world to improve the quality of Tri Dharma (Three Pillars of Higher Education) in order to advance Islam in particular and the world in general
The graduate Prospects
Microcontroller Programmer, PLC Programmer, FPGA Programmer, Control Engineer, Marketing engineer, Trader, Teacher, Lecturer, Information System Analyst, Information System Developer, Designer, Web developer, Computer Network Administrator, Computer Network Builder, Computer Network Application Developer, and Telecommunication Engineer
Competency
Graduate competences are in accordance with the two study concentrations:
1. Industrial Automation
The mastery of the principles dynamic system control to follow an order in accordance with the objectives of the system. The success of control, among others, is achieved through programming so that the control objectives are reached optimally, effectively and efficiently by also considering the element of system stability against external interference during the process.
2. Telematics
The active mastery of the principles contained in a variety of modern communication facilities so as to be able to devote oneself in the field of telecommunications. It is expected that graduates will be able to develop knowledge and skills with direct field explorations.
Lecturers
The study program has 11 permanent lecturers with academic qualifications of master’s degree and doctoral degree. Three lecturers possess doctoral degree while the other 8 lecturers are currently pursuing their doctoral degrees at domestic and foreign universities. Some courses are presented by guest lecturers from UGM, UNY, and industry practitioners.
Supporting Facilities
Lectures are supported by a number of facilities, such as lecture rooms equipped with LCD and audio-visual facilities, libraries, mosque, canteen, parking space and Wi Fi area. In addition, there are 3 laboratories with complete equipment such as Logic trainer, FM Trainer receiver, 5 axis of motion robot arm, residential installation modules and Omron PLC modules. Student self-development activities are also supported by the Electrical Engineering Student Association with various activities, such as Robotic Development Community (RDC), Microcontroller Study Club (MCSC), Computer Network Study Club (CNSC), Cinematography Study Club (CSC) and Audio Video Community (AVIC).
