INDONESIAN LITERATURE STUDY PROGRAM
The Indonesian Literature Study Program, that was established on August 1, 1997, is aimed to prepare graduates who are reliable in both literature and linguistics. Literature in Indonesia has become an inseparable part of the education in Indonesia. Therefore, the needs of proficient literature experts are also increasing rapidly, both in the fields of media, publishing, and education. There are three specializations in the study program, namely Literature, Linguistics, and Culture.

“In 2020, the study program will become an excellent study program in the fields of Indonesian language, literature and culture, with a global outlook and is integrated with Islamic values.”
Mision
- To organize superior quality education in the fields of language, literature and Indonesian culture that is integrated with Islamic values

Intellectual domain
- Having knowledge and understanding in the fields of language, literature and culture of Indonesia
- Having knowledge and understanding of the dynamics and development of Indonesian language, literature and culture
- Having knowledge and understanding in the research methodology of Indonesian language, literature and culture
- Having knowledge and understanding of techniques for writing scientific papers and popular works
- Having knowledge and understanding of journalism and editing

- Having pride in Indonesian language
- Having an attitude of always being curious about the dynamics of the development of Indonesian language, literature and culture

Lecturers
The study program is supported by lecturers who are experts in the field of Indonesian Literature, consisting of 1 lecturer who has an academic position as professor and 9 lecturers who have a master’s degree from renowned universities in Indonesia, such as UGM, UNDIP, and UNY. Each lecturer has different competences, including: Literature, Culture, and Linguistics.
Supporting Facilities
The lecture activities are supported by various facilities, such as air-conditioned lecture rooms and LCD projectors, online computer platforms, online library, computer laboratory, multimedia laboratory, language laboratory, studio, various collection of journals, theater 42, Gendhing Bahana, and other student activities.
