UAD FKIP Shares Qurbani Animals to the Community

 

At the moment of Eid al-Adha 1439 H, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) distributed 3 cows and 24 goats to the community. These sacrificial animals were obtained from voluntary contribution from students and lecturers on Qurbani.

Dr. Suparman, M.Si., D.E.A., the Vice Dean of FKIP revealed that the handover of the sacrificial animals was an effort made by UAD to realize the true Islamic community. With this activity, he stated that he wanted all UAD academic families to be always moved to give charity to the community. "What UAD is doing is a form of real charity," said Suparman.

On this occasion, Biology Education study program gave 3 goats to Serut Village, Gedangsari, Gunungkidul. Physics Education study program gave the charity in the form of 3 goats and 86 food packages. Meanwhile, Mathematics Education study program gave 4 goats, 25 packages. and 5 water tanks to Klepu Village, Hargosari, Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul. English Language Education (PBI) study program gave 3 goats as well as basic needs, and appropriate clothes to Muhammadiyah 2 Kalibawang Junior High School, Kulonprogo.

On the other hand, Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI) study program sent 2 goats and held social services in Bulu Village, Gedangsari, Gunungkidul. Counseling Guidance (BK) study program gave 6 goats to Melikan, Banjarejo, Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul.

Civics Study Program gave 2 goats to Nglegi village, Patuk, Gunungkidul. PGSD study program, on the other hand, distributed 2 cows to the community around campus 5 of UAD in Sorosutan, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta, as well as Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) of Wonosobo and UAD labschool in Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul. Finally, PGPAUD study program sent 1 cow to Sidomulyo Village, Sampang, Gedangsari District, Gunungkidul.

The giving of animals and sacrificial meat to the community is a routine event that has been done for years by UAD and will continue to be carried out in the coming years. (doc/ard)
