PANCASILA AND CIVIC EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM
Civic Education Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta was established on February 23, 1987, with the Decree of Establishment No.009/0/1987 that was signed by Bambang Triantoro. The Operational Permit for conducting the study program is No: 12367/D/T/K-V/2012.
With the motto “Be A Good Citizen”, Civic Study Program always perseveres to develop human resources who are ready to become good citizens. The vision of the Civic Study Program is to be a superior and innovative Study Program in producing education scholars in the field of Civics who are smart, skilled, have a sense of nationalism and love for the motherland based on Islamic values by 2030. To make this happen, the Civic Study Program has the following mission; First, to organize higher education to produce education graduates in the field of Civics; Second, to conduct research and scientific development in the field of Civics; Third, to organize community service in the field of Civics. Fourth, to prepare graduates with Islamic and Muhammadiyah values; Fifth, to establish cooperation with local, national, and international agencies in scientific development. The graduates of the study program will obtain a Bachelor of Education (S.Pd.) degree.

Objectives
- To produce undergraduate education in the field of Civics that contributes and supports the national education system
- To produce novice researchers and writers in the field of Civics
- To contribute to social problem solving in the society
- To produce undergraduate education in the field of Civics that can advance and disseminate the values of Pancasila and Citizenship, in particular, and other related fields, in general
- To produce bachelor of education in the field of Civics who has identity according to national, Islamic and Muhammadiyah values
- To cooperate with related institutions as an effort to apply and develop science for the society

Main Competences
1. Cognitive Aspect
- Master the knowledge about concepts/ theories in social science, social political science, philosophy/ ethics as an understanding of various aspects of social citizen lives
- Master the knowledge about educational theories/ concepts
- Master the knowledge about the theories and basic concepts of Civics
2. Affective Aspect
- Able to carry out the task of educating and instilling values, enthusiasm, sense of community and nationality, and the love for the motherland to students
- Able to understand, assess and solve the problems of Civic education
- Keep up with the dynamic development of science and technology on an ongoing basis
- Actively participate in the field of work, the work environment, and educational and social organizations
3. Psychomotor Aspect
- Able to design Civic learning tools with a system approach, to identify problems, set goals, and develop learning processes and components, so that these learning tools can be used in learning at various levels at school
- Able to apply and develop learning tools with a scientific approach, to develop the potential of students to become good citizens, at school or outside school
- Able to measure the learning of Civics, with a process and outcome approach, both qualitative and quantitative, so as to obtain valid information about the behavior of student learning outcomes
- Able to convey ideas or research results of Civic development to the public by using social media, thus contributing to social change towards the shaping of good citizens

Publish the results of the final project or design work and report on the results of field practice activities that can be accessed by the academic community through scientific publication media
Communicate the design of social empowerment, politics, and non-formal education through various media to the public

Able to implement the concept of red cross and scouting in schools
Lecturers
The teaching staff in the Civic Education Study Program of UAD consists of 3 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors (Lektor), 2 Assistant Professors (Asisten Ahli), and 2 Education Personnel.
Supporting facilities
IT-based lecture rooms (with LCD and Audio-Visual Facilities), library, mosque, canteen, parking space, Wi Fi areas and Civic laboratory.
