UAD Allocates 2.5% of Revenue for CSR

As one of Muhammadiyah education institutions and universities (PTM), Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) has a social responsibility for the community. This responsibility is implemented with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) budget allocation of 2.5% of UAD revenues.

"The funds are for the community including Maju Bersama Union program. Some CSR has been given to the victims of natural disasters, for community activities, and some organizations," said UAD Rector Kasiyarno, M.Hum in his speech for 57th Milad, Saturday (30/12/2017).

Recently, UAD provided assistance to University of Muhammadiyah of West Sumatra (UMSB) by donating 9 billion rupiah to build a new building for the university. Previously, UAD also built the building of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Wonosobo, in Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul which cost about 3.5 billion rupiah.

In addition to helping in the building construction process, UAD also provided training and education management training, as well as incentives for honorary teachers in the school which was 10 times their salary.

"For organizations, UAD regularly provides guidance for 30 Aisyiyah and Muhammadiyah educational institutions from kindergarten through high school for them to be a superior and independent school. Each year, UAD provides incentives of 375 million rupiah for ABA Kindergarten teachers in DIY, in collaboration with PWA DIY. In addition, UAD also provides assistance in financing the development of Muhammadiyah charity," he said. (ard)
