UAD Holds National Cadre Training
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) held a national-level Student Cadre Training (PMKB), from Friday to Sunday (26-28/10/2018) at Muhammadiyah Al Manar High School, in Galur, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The training was attended by 105 students from 21 Muhammadiyah universities in 11 provinces in Indonesia.
In its implementation, UAD collaborated with the Council of Higher Education, Research and Development (Diktilitbang) of Central Board of Muhammadiyah, Muhammadiyah Al Manar High School of Galur, PT Pilar Graba Inti, BPD Syariah, and Roti Papa Cookies.
Vice Rector III of UAD, Dr. Abdul Fadlil, M.T., in his speech while opening the event said that the national-level PMKB was one of the foundations for delivering successful students in the future.
"For students, this training can add points for their Diploma Supplement (SKPI). We hope the participants can become Muhammadiyah cadres, community cadres and national cadres. As cadres who are responsible for the sustainability of the Muhammadiyah, the people and the Indonesian nation," explained Fadlil.
On the other hand, the Head of Bureau of Student and Alumni Affairs (Bimawa) of UAD, Dr. Dedi Pramono, M.Hum., revealed that this training was held at the same time as the day of the Youth Pledge. In addition, the location was in Muhammadiyah charity business area, which was close to the community.
"There are seminars, soft skills training and community service. So the training is not just theoretical, since the implementation of the training goes directly to the community," said Dedi.
He added that, from this training, three types of certificates would be given to the student participants. Among them are seminar certificate, soft skills training certificate, and national cadre service certificate.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector IV of UAD, Prof. Dr. Sarbiran, M.Ed., Ph.D., provided four motivational phrases for the participants. "I think, I feel, I can, I succeed. With these motivational words, we hope that the nation's cadre students will be positive and visionary. Therefore, whatever the problem is, we must be able to solve it and find solutions for it."
This training was attended by UAD, Universitas Aisyiyah, UM Yogyakarta, UM Surakarta, UM Jakarta, UM Bengkulu, Uhamka, UM Tasikmalaya, UM Cirebon, UM Magelang, UM Purwokerto, UM Purworejo, Unimus, UM Banjarmasin, UM Kalimantan Timur, STKIP MBB, UM Jember, UM Sidoarjo, Unismuh Makassar, and UM Kendari.
